2. Eligibility
2.1 You must be at least 18 years of age and legally capable of entering into a binding contract under the Indian Contract Act, 1872 (or the equivalent law of your jurisdiction) to use the Services. By using the Services you represent that you meet this requirement.
2.2 The Services are not directed at children. If we learn that an Account has been created by a person under 18, we will terminate it and delete the associated personal data in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
2.3 The Services are offered from India and may be accessed internationally. You are responsible for ensuring that your use of the Services is lawful in the jurisdiction from which you access them. We may restrict access from certain countries or territories at our discretion, including where required by applicable sanctions or export laws.
3. Nature of the Services and Important Disclaimers
Please read this section carefully.
3.1 Astrology is a traditional system of interpretation, not a science of certain outcomes. The Services apply classical Vedic astrology (Jyotiṣa) principles, drawn from traditional texts and computed with astronomical ephemeris data, to interpret charts and questions. Astrological interpretation is inherently subjective and its conclusions cannot be verified or guaranteed. Different schools and practitioners may reach different conclusions from the same chart.
3.2 Consultations are generated with the assistance of artificial intelligence. Our Services use automated computation and AI language models to produce Consultations. AI-generated content can contain errors, omissions or interpretations that a human expert would not make. Unless a Consultation is expressly labelled as reviewed by a named human astrologer, no human has reviewed it before delivery.
3.3 For guidance and personal reflection only. All Consultations are provided for informational, educational, cultural and personal-reflection purposes. They are not a substitute for, and must not be relied upon in place of, professional advice from a qualified doctor, mental-health professional, lawyer, financial adviser, or other licensed professional. You must not make medical, legal, financial, investment, employment, travel, relationship or safety decisions solely on the basis of a Consultation.
3.4 No guarantee of outcomes. We make no representation or warranty that any event, outcome or result described, predicted or implied in a Consultation will occur, or that a recommended time (muhurta) will produce any particular result.
3.5 Sensitive subject matter. Classical astrological texts address topics such as health, longevity, relationships, children, disputes and loss. In line with applicable law and our editorial standards, we may limit, generalise, add caveats to, or decline to show certain categories of indication. In particular:
- (a) Health-related indications are shown only as a general overview with caveats and are never a diagnosis or prognosis. If you have a health concern, consult a qualified medical practitioner.
- (b) Any indication relating to the identity or characteristics of a person who may be responsible for a loss or theft is a traditional astrological construct and is not, and must not be treated as, an accusation against any identifiable person. Such information is offered only as an additional avenue of enquiry and must never replace reporting to, and cooperation with, local law enforcement.
- (c) We will not reveal indications concerning the private conduct of third parties where doing so could infringe their dignity, privacy or reputation.
- (d) Indications concerning the sex of an unborn child will never be shown, in compliance with the Pre-conception and Pre-natal Diagnostic Techniques Act, 1994 and the spirit of that law.
- (e) If a Consultation touches on self-harm or severe distress, we will display information about support helplines. If you are in crisis, please contact local emergency services or a crisis helpline immediately.
3.6 Accuracy of inputs. The quality of a Consultation depends on the accuracy of your Birth Data and question. We are not responsible for Consultations that are inaccurate because the information you provided was incomplete, incorrect or imprecise (for example, an uncertain time of birth).
3.7 Third-party data. Astronomical positions are computed using third-party ephemeris and computation services and published astronomical standards. While we take care to select reliable sources, we do not guarantee the accuracy of third-party data.
4. Accounts
4.1 To purchase or receive Consultations you must create an Account and provide accurate, current and complete information, including a valid email address.
4.2 You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activity under your Account. Notify us immediately at hello@astraaiweb.com if you suspect unauthorised use.
4.3 One person may hold only one Account. Accounts are personal and may not be shared, sold or transferred.
4.4 We may suspend or terminate Accounts that violate these Terms, that we reasonably suspect of fraud or abuse, or that have been inactive for an extended period, subject to Section 15.
5. Orders, Pricing and Payment
5.1 Prices. Prices for each offering are displayed on the Platform at the time of purchase. Unless stated otherwise, prices shown to customers in India are in Indian Rupees (INR) and include Goods and Services Tax (GST) where applicable. Prices shown to customers outside India are displayed in the currency indicated at checkout and exclude any taxes, duties or levies that may apply in your country, which are your responsibility.
5.2 Payment processing. Payments are processed by independent third-party payment processors (currently Razorpay and PayPal). By making a payment you agree to the processor's terms. We do not receive or store your full card number, CVV or banking credentials.
5.3 Authorisation. You represent that you are authorised to use the payment method you provide and that the information you supply is accurate.
5.4 International payments. If you pay with a card or account denominated in a currency other than the currency of the Order, your bank or card issuer may apply a currency conversion rate and charge foreign-transaction fees. These are outside our control and are not refundable by us.
5.5 Invoices. A tax invoice or receipt is issued electronically for every paid Order and is available in your Account.
5.6 Pricing errors. If an offering is listed at an incorrect price because of a typographical or system error, we may cancel the Order and refund any amount paid, and will notify you by email.
5.7 Promotions. Promotional codes and discounts are subject to the conditions stated with them, cannot be combined unless expressly permitted, have no cash value and may be withdrawn at any time.
6. Subscriptions and Credits
6.1 Some offerings are sold as recurring subscriptions or as pre-paid credit packs. The billing cycle, renewal date and price are shown before you subscribe.
6.2 Automatic renewal. Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period at the then-current price unless you cancel before the renewal date. You can cancel at any time from your Account settings; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period and you retain access until then.
6.3 Credits are valid for the period stated at purchase (by default TODO from purchase), are non-transferable, have no cash value and, except as set out in the Cancellation and Refund Policy, are non-refundable.
6.4 We may change subscription prices with at least 30 days' notice by email. Continued use after the change takes effect constitutes acceptance of the new price.
7. Delivery, Cancellation and Refunds
7.1 The Services are digital and are delivered electronically as described in our Shipping and Exchange Policy.
7.2 Cancellations and refunds are governed by our Cancellation and Refund Policy.
7.3 Consent to immediate performance. Where you purchase a Consultation that is generated and delivered immediately or on request, you acknowledge that performance begins when the Order is placed, and that, to the extent permitted by applicable law, you lose any statutory right of withdrawal or "cooling-off" once performance has begun.
8. Your Obligations and Acceptable Use
You agree that you will not:
- (a) provide Birth Data or other personal data of another person without that person's informed consent (or the consent of their lawful guardian), and you will indemnify us against claims arising from such data;
- (b) use any Consultation to harass, threaten, defame, discriminate against or harm any person, or to make allegations against any identifiable individual;
- (c) use the Services for any unlawful purpose, or in a way that violates the rights of others;
- (d) attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, extract, scrape, crawl, bulk-download or otherwise obtain the Content, rule sets, prompts, models, datasets or source code underlying the Services, or use automated means to access the Services except through interfaces we expressly provide;
- (e) use the Services, or any output of the Services, to develop, train, fine-tune, benchmark or improve any competing product or AI model;
- (f) upload malicious code, interfere with the Platform's security or integrity, or impose an unreasonable load on our infrastructure;
- (g) impersonate any person or misrepresent your affiliation;
- (h) resell, sublicense or commercially exploit the Services or Consultations without our prior written consent; or
- (i) circumvent any access controls, payment requirements or usage limits.
9. Intellectual Property
9.1 Our property. The Platform, the Content, the Astra Ai name, logos and marks, and all software, algorithms, rule encodings, taxonomies, prompts, model weights, databases, designs and compilations used to provide the Services are owned by or licensed to Astra Ai and are protected by Indian and international intellectual-property laws. Classical texts referenced in the Services remain in the public domain or belong to their respective rights-holders; our selection, arrangement, encoding and commentary are our own work.
9.2 Licence to you. Subject to these Terms and payment of applicable fees, we grant you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to access the Services and to use Consultations delivered to you for your own personal, non-commercial purposes.
9.3 Your content. You retain ownership of your User Content. You grant us a worldwide, royalty-free licence to store, process, reproduce and use your User Content to the extent necessary to provide, secure, support and improve the Services and as described in our Privacy Policy.

11. Third-Party Services and Links
The Platform may integrate with or link to third-party services (such as authentication providers, payment processors, computation services and communication tools). We do not control and are not responsible for third-party services, their content or their privacy practices. Your use of them is governed by their own terms.
12. Availability and Changes to the Services
12.1 We aim to keep the Services available at all times but do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation. We may suspend the Services for maintenance, security or upgrades, and will give reasonable notice where practicable.
12.2 We may add, modify or discontinue features of the Services. If we discontinue a paid feature you have purchased, we will refund the unused portion in accordance with the Cancellation and Refund Policy.
13. Disclaimer of Warranties
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, the Services and all Consultations are provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis, without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied or statutory, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, completeness, non-infringement or that any outcome will occur. Nothing in these Terms excludes warranties or rights that cannot be excluded under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019 or other applicable consumer law.
14. Limitation of Liability
14.1 To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Astra Ai, its directors, officers, employees, contractors and licensors will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary or punitive damages, or for loss of profits, revenue, data, goodwill or opportunity, arising out of or in connection with the Services or any Consultation, even if advised of the possibility of such damages.
14.2 Without limiting the above, we are not liable for any decision you make or action you take in reliance on a Consultation.
14.3 To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, our total aggregate liability to you for all claims arising out of or relating to the Services or these Terms will not exceed INR 5,000 (or its equivalent).
14.4 Nothing in these Terms limits or excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or any other liability that cannot lawfully be limited or excluded.
15. Suspension and Termination
15.1 You may stop using the Services and request deletion of your Account at any time from your Account settings or by writing to hello@astraaiweb.com.
15.2 We may suspend or terminate your access, with notice where reasonably practicable, if you materially breach these Terms, if required by law, or if we reasonably believe your use poses a risk to us, other users or third parties.
15.3 On termination, your licence to use the Services ends. Sections 3, 8, 9, 13, 14, 16, 18 and 19, and any other provision which by its nature should survive, will survive termination. Refunds on termination are handled in accordance with the Cancellation and Refund Policy.
16. Indemnity
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Astra Ai and its directors, officers, employees and agents from and against all claims, liabilities, damages, losses and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or related to (a) your breach of these Terms, (b) your User Content, including Birth Data of third parties submitted without consent, or (c) your use of any Consultation in violation of law or the rights of any person.
17. Grievance Redressal
17.1 In accordance with the Consumer Protection (E-Commerce) Rules, 2020 and the Information Technology Act, 2000 and rules thereunder, we have appointed a Grievance Officer, who can be reached at hello@astraaiweb.com (subject line "Grievance").

18.2 Subject to Section 18.3, the courts at Mumbai, India shall have exclusive jurisdiction.
18.3 If you are a consumer resident outside India, nothing in this Section deprives you of the protection of mandatory consumer-protection provisions of the law of your country of residence, or of the right to bring proceedings in the courts of that country where such law so provides.
18.4 Before commencing formal proceedings, you agree to first raise the matter with our Grievance Officer under Section 17 and to engage in good-faith discussions for a period of 30 days.

19.3 Severability. If any provision is held invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in full force and the invalid provision will be enforced to the maximum extent permitted.
19.4 No waiver. Our failure to enforce any provision is not a waiver of our right to do so later.
